Shopping on Amazon is both a sport and a lifestyle — at least it is for me.

As someone who frequents the online retailer on a regular basis, Amazon Canada has become my go-to resource for everything from groceries and makeup to clothing and books. Do I have a shopping problem? Maybe, but through my quest to avoid shopping IRL I've managed to find some game-changing products that have become staples in my home.

One recent product that has been a welcomed find in my home is Kolako's 2-pack of Magnetic Door Stops. These handy gadgets have officially replaced pesky (and noisy) spring door stops in my home and at $20 per pair, are an affordable solution to a common household nuisance.

Kolako's magnetic door stops are made from alloy steel and are a quiet and effective alternative to spring door stops and door wedges.

The versatile gadgets can be easily installed or mounted on both the floor or the wall to help prevent baseboard scuffs from opening doors and unwanted closing.

My husband and I initially purchased these magnetic door stops during a bathroom renovation to finally rid ourselves of the noisy and outdated spring door stops and the plastic door wedge that inevitably gets lost or swatted away by pets.

These sleek and modern-looking magnetic door stops make it easy for us to keep doors in our home open without worrying about hitting or scuffing baseboards or walls or accidentally closing doors on our dogs.

Even though these door stops are a small change to make in your home, they make a big difference in the way you utilize your space on a day to day basis. There are plenty of Amazon customers who like me, have found magnetic door stops to be an aesthetically pleasing and effective addition to their space.

Kolako's 2-Pack Magnetic Door Stops have earned an impressive 4.5-star rating based on more than 1,100 customer reviews.

“These are wonderful,” one shopper said, adding that they don’t have to worry about doors accidentally closing on their dog.

“They look classy,” another said of the “sturdy” door stops that manage to keep the door propped open, even with the windows open.

"Great to hold doors open," a shopper said, noting that the magnetic door stop even worked on their "heavy front door."

Although there are mostly positive reviews available online, some shoppers have said that they found it difficult to install, even with the instructions. Others have said that they didn't work on their heavy exterior doors.

If you're like me and have had it with kicking a door stop into place under your door or hearing the noisy spring hinge, these magnetic door stops might be for you. Not only are they strong and easy to install, they're a sleek modern update to any room's aesthetic. However, some shoppers have noted that they've found them tricky to install (something I didn't experience), so be sure to follow instructions!

Michigan's primary election is on August 2, 2022, but some websites and social media users claim a local news broadcaster reported the results in advance.
