The following items were taken from police reports and news releases. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt.

MAN SHOT: Palos Hills police said a man sustained a gunshot wound to the foot during an Aug. 29 incident in the 10300 block of South Harlem Avenue. The victim was treated with non-life-threatening injuries at a area hospital, according to police. Police said there is no public threat and the investigation into the shooting is ongoing.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT: Issac Gomes, 23, of Oak Lawn, was arrested and accused of aggravated assault after threatening an employee with a baseball bat during a Sept. 7 dispute at a business in the 10600 block of Southwest Highway, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Joel Hernandez, 19, of Blue Island, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license, speeding 21-25 mph above the speed limit and no insurance Sept. 7 in the 10300 block of Ridgeland Avenue, police said.

DOMESTIC BATTERY: Cordaro Roberts, 36, of Chicago Ridge, was arrested and accused of domestic battery after a Sept. 7 incident in the 5700 block of Ridgemont Lane, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Edwin Barajas, 24, of Justice, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license, no seat belt and no insurance Sept. 9 in the 7200 block of West 105th Street in Palos Hills, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Richard Scialo, 58, of Burbank, was arrested and accused of driving on s suspended license and driving without headlights Sept. 10 in the 9800 block of Ridgeland Avenue, police said.

CRIMINAL TRESPASS: Stephen Scott, 29, of Chicago, was arrested and accused of criminal trespass to a vehicle after the victim told police he witnessed Scott entering his car in the 10600 block of Lyman Avenue on Sept. 9, police said. Police said Scott stole a pack of cigarettes from the victim’s car.

AGGRAVATED SPEEDING: Ziad Sheban, 39, of Tinley Park, was arrested and accused of aggravated speeding Aug. 27 at 159th Street and Bell Road, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Shatara Connor, 29, of Chicago, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident after an Aug. 14 crash at 159th Street and LaGrange Road, police said.

DUI ARREST: Jeffrey Erikson, 47, of the 11500 block of Bryn Mawr Way, Mokena, was arrested and accused of drunken driving, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and using a cellphone while driving after driving 20-30 feet off the roadway and crashing into a wooded area in the 10900 block of 143rd Street Aug. 21, police said.

NO LICENSE: Bryan Ojeda, 18, of the 3200 block of Sangamon Street, Steger, was arrested and accused of driving without a valid license and no rear registration plate light Aug. 21 in the 7900 block of West 159th Street, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Jesus Barrera Jr., 20, of Lansing, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license and disobeying a stop sign Aug. 24 in the 200 block of Orland Square Drive, police said.

NO LICENSE: Nickolas Chagala, 24, of the 4900 block of Wolcott Avenue, Chicago, was arrested and accused of driving without a valid license, no valid registration, no insurance and having illegally tinted windows Aug. 24 in the 15800 block of 94th Avenue, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Raliatu Price, 48, of the 600 block of Jeffrey Avenue, Calumet City, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license, no insurance, expired registration and using a cellphone while driving Aug. 25 at 159th Street and LaGrange Road, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Jackie Melvin, 63, of Chicago, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license and failure to wear a seat belt for passengers under 18 Aug. 25 in the 8400 block of 159th Street, police said.

DUI ARREST: Emely Valenzuela, 46, of Plainfield, was arrested and accused of drunken driving, unlawful stopping on a roadway and using a cellphone while driving Aug. 26 in the parking lot of Whole Foods just north of 153rd Street, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Melissa Muller, 24, of Justice, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license and failure to wear a seat belt Aug. 26 on 144th Place, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Sawyer Sherley, 25, of the 14300 block of Twin Creek Lane, Homer Glen, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license and disobeying a traffic light Aug. 27 at 154th Street and LaGrange Road, police said.

DUI ARREST: Joseph Delk Jr., 22, of the 0-100 block of Cour Street, Palos Hills, was arrested and accused of drunken driving Aug. 27 in the 14400 block of John Humphrey Drive, police said.

RECKLESS DRIVING: Brian Clair, 35, address unknown, was arrested and accused of reckless driving, leaving the scene of an accident with property damage and no insurance after driving his SUV into a ditch and flipping it upside down next to Kohl’s in the 7500 block of 191st Street July 25, police said. Prior to the crash police said Clair had struck a car in the parking lot of Brookside Market Place and left the scene.

THEFT: A witness told police he observed three masked man walking away with catalytic converters stolen from three cars parked in a parking lot at 181st Street and Rita Road on July 27. The men placed the converters in the trunk of a small white Honda or Nissan and fled eastbound on 181st Street.

STOLEN SHOES: A man told police someone stole five pairs of shoes belonging to him, his girlfriend and his mother that were left in a common area of their apartment building on Ridgeland Avenue Aug. 26-27. The victim valued the shoes at $1,150.

CONVERTER STOLEN: A man told police someone stole his catalytic converter when he was parked outside of the Fairfield Inn, 18511 North Creek Drive, on July 27, police said.

WEAPON ARREST: Jonathan Oliveros-Suarez, 21, of Miami, Fla., was arrested and accused of unlawful use of a weapon after police discovered an illegal firearm in his possession while questioning him for sleeping in his car in a parking lot in the 2100 block of Bristol Park Road on Sept. 7, police said.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE: Michael Shepard, 27, of Joliet, was arrested and accused of criminal damage to property and criminal trespass to a vehicle after police said Shepard damaged a car window and then entered another car that didn’t belong to him in the parking lot of Silver Cross Hospital, 1900 Silver Cross Boulevard, on Sept. 7, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Penelope McSherry, 50, of Joliet, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license Sept. 8 at Belson Road and Haven Avenue, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Alissa Kelly, 25, of Lockport, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license Sept. 8 at Francis Road and Creekside Court, police said.

BURGLARY: Police said someone driving a dark-colored pickup truck with a trailer stole a 2010 Prestige golf cart from the parking lot of Rolling R Golf Cart Rental, 29813 S. U.S. 30, in Peotone on Aug. 20, police said.

DUI ARREST: Karl Walters, 66, of Downers Grove, was arrested and accused of drunken driving, improper lighting and disobeying a traffic control device Aug. 28 at Exchange and Benton in Crete, police said.

BURGLARY: Police said someone stole a wallet and loose change from a car parked in the 31000 block of Ridgeland Avenue in Peotone on Aug. 29, police said.

DUI ARREST: Joseph Busich, 63, of the 300 block of Crawford, Peotone, was arrested and accused of drunken driving, blocking a railroad crossing and no insurance on Harlem Avenue in Peotone on Aug. 29, police said.

AGGRAVATED SPEEDING: Jose Chavez, 30, of Chicago Heights, was arrested and accused of aggravated speeding and no insurance Aug. 27 at Interstate 80 and Interstate 355 in New Lenox on Aug. 27, police said.

CRIMINAL TRESPASS: A woman told police someone ransacked the interior of her car when she was parked outside of her home in the 6000 block of Victoria Drive Sept. 9. Nothing appeared missing.

STOLEN CAR: A man told police someone stole his 2018 Dodge Charger from his driveway in the 5200 block of Nicholas Court Sept. 9. The victim’s ring doorbell camera showed two unknown men driving a black sedan approaching the stolen car and the Challenger driving down the driveway. The car was later tracked to 104th and Halsted Avenue in Chicago but Chicago police were unable to locate the vehicle.

CAR BURGLARY: A man told police someone stole numerous tools and his wallet after forcing entry into his work van when it was parked in the 16900 block of Forrest Avenue on Sept. 8-9. The victim estimated the stolen goods were valued at $4,000 and told police he saw a white Buick sedan parked in front of his home at 5 a.m. on Sept. 9. A similar burglary happened during the same time frame in the 5100 block of Elmwood. The second victim told police someone punched the lock on his van’s rear door and stole numerous tools, including siding and roofing guns, multiple saws and drills.

WARRANT ARREST: James Kalin, 25, of the 2000 block of Nicholas Drive, Chicago Heights, was arrested on an outstanding FBI warrant after police stopped him for traveling 70 mph in a 40-mph speed zone on Sept. 11 at 159th Street and LeClaire Avenue, police said. Kalin had a nationwide warrant issued out of Lake County, Ind. with full extradition according to a police report. The FBI positively identified Kalin after Oak Forest police conducted a fingerprint inquiry.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Kenneth McCoy, 60, 15000 block of Chicago Road, Dolton, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license, no insurance and improperly displaying a license plate Sept. 1 at 183rd Street and Argyle Avenue, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Adorea Hollis, 23, 2000 block of 170th Street, Hazel Crest, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license Sept. 2 in the 900 block of 175th Street, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Katie Pewitt, 34, Valparaiso, Ind., was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license, no insurance and no valid registration Sept. 1 in the 17900 block of Halsted Street, police said.

RETAIL THEFT: Deonca Jones, 28, Chicago, was arrested and accused of retail theft and trespassing Sept. 7 at the Wal-Mart Supercenter, 17550 Halsted St., after stealing merchandise selling for $150.40 and then refusing to leave the store, police said.

RETAIL THEFT: Daquon Rice, 25, 1200 block of Otto Boulevard, Chicago Heights, was arrested and accused of retail theft Sept. 7 at Kohl’s, 17620 Halsted St., after stealing merchandise selling for $492.97, police said.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Yusef M. Nofal, undisclosed age, Oak Lawn, was arrested and accused of disorderly conduct Aug. 21 at Centennial Park after displaying an AR-15 BB gun with the replica identifier covered up, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Mayra Rodriguez, undisclosed age, Chicago, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license and no valid registration Aug. 22 at 95th Street and Mansfield Avenue, police said.

VANDALISM: Ryan A. Villa, undisclosed age, undisclosed block of Kolin Avenue, Oak Lawn, was arrested and accused of criminally damaging property Aug. 22 in that block after breaking an apartment building’s exterior door, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Miguel DeLeon, undisclosed age, Chicago, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license, driving without a valid license and expired registration Aug. 23 at 95th Street and Nashville Avenue in Chicago, police said.

WARRANT: Ethan J. Dominguez, 21, Chicago, was taken into custody on an undisclosed Will County traffic warrant Aug. 23 in an undisclosed block of 95th Street, police said.

WARRANT: Lori J. Rapoport, 54, Honolulu, Hawaii, was taken into custody on an undisclosed DuPage County warrant Aug. 23 in the 9500 block of Cicero Avenue, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Malik H. Grant, undisclosed age, Chicago, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license, speeding and improper lane use Aug. 24 in the 10300 block of Pulaski Road, police said.

DUI: Derek J. Mieczko, 43, undisclosed block of Parkside Avenue, Oak lawn, was arrested and accused of aggravated drunken driving, no insurance, driving off the roadway and failing to reduce speed to avoid a collision Aug. 24 at 104th Street and Parkside Avenue after driving into a guard rail, police said.

REVOKED LICENSE: Francisco J. Ortiz, undisclosed age, undisclosed block of 69th Court, Oak Lawn, was arrested and accused of driving on a revoked license and failing to secure a child younger than 8 Aug. 24 at 93rd Street and Austin Avenue, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Deshaun D. Simpson, 42, Lansing, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license, speeding and improper lane use Aug. 24 at 99th Place and Ridgeland Avenue, police said.

NO LICENSE: Tamika Gardner, 39, Dubuque, Iowa, was arrested and accused of driving without a valid license, no insurance, improperly transporting cannabis and no front registration plate Aug. 25 at 99th Street and Cicero Avenue, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Nasr A. Salim, undisclosed age, undisclosed block of Oak Park Avenue, Chicago Ridge, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license, no insurance and suspended registration Aug. 26 at 95th Street and 49th Avenue, police said.
