Words cannot describe the shock and pain Brittany Blake is going through.
She lost her fiancé and the father of their almost 2-year-old boy, Jasiah.
"No one can ever, like, compare to that person. Like the love he showed me and his son. It was unmatchable," said Brittany Blake. "Mentally, like, I kind of feel numb like it’s not real. Like, I’m not saying RIP because I don’t believe it."
Fort Pierce police said 23-year-old Jonathan Joseph died in a shooting Wednesday. It happened around 6:30 p.m. on North 21st Street and Avenue E.
Officials said there was a second victim from the shooting who is in critical, but stable, condition.
"I was in the store organizing stuff, and we heard gunshots," said Saja Abdelquiader, whose family owns Mom & Pop Mini Mart.
WPBF 25 News obtained surveillance footage from the convenience store, showing Joseph's car slowly driving down the street with one door open after the shooting.
"He’s my brother’s friend. They used to go fishing together and they used to just hang out all the time," Abdelquiader said. "So, my brother’s really hurt about it and it’s just sad to see that he’s gone."

Blake said she knew Joseph since she was 13.
"He was a sweet, sweet genuine person. He would give you literally the shirt off his back," Blake said. "He was always the life of the party, always had these cute little dimples."
She told WPBF 25 News that something told her to pick up her son that day, instead of having her fiancé do it. She decided to take Jasiah to the park since she got off work early Wednesday.
"It’s just crazy because if he would have got Jasiah that day, Jasiah would have been in the car with him. And there were bullet holes on that passenger door where my son would have been sitting," Blake said.

Loved ones shared the memories they had with Joseph, and cannot believe he is actually gone.
"One time, my mom’s car broke down so he followed her to make sure she got home," said Xavier Davis, a family friend.
Fort Pierce police said they have not made any arrests at this time. If you have any information, contact Criminal Detective Dania Francois at 772-979-1471, dfrancois@fppd.org, or Treasure Coast Crime Stoppers at 1-800-273-8477.
"He won’t be able to see his son again," Blake said. "Always remind Jasiah what type of dad he had."
