The Door County Parks Department is asking for assistance from the public in its effort to stop the vandalism that’s been happening in county park restrooms. Since the beginning of July, there have been multiple acts of vandalism involving fecal matter in the restrooms, and additional security measures have been installed in response.
The county asks that anyone who has any information or has witnessed suspicious activity call the Door County Sheriff’s Department at 920.746.2400 and refer to Case #22-006219.
The County of Door seeks to hold the vandalizers responsible to the fullest extent of the law. Offenders will be prosecuted for a Class A Misdemeanor offense, punishable by up to nine months of imprisonment and/or a fine of up to $10,000 for each offense/occurrence.
